Betty J. McDonald, age 89, of Ossineke, left us to join her husband in heaven on July 15, 2025. She passed away peacefully in Bay City, MI. Betty was born in Alpena, MI to the late Henry and Blanche (Eckhart) Ross on March 5, 1936. She married the love of her life, Eugene C. McDonald, and remained in Ossineke for 60 years together. Betty attended First United Methodist Church and was involved in the Joy Group and Hearts to Home. Betty loved her church and loved her family.
She is preceded in death by her son, David McDonald, her sisters Phyllis VanWormer and Doris Frary, and her brother Bill. She is survived by her brothers, Bob and Ron Ross, her children Danny (Martha) McDonald and Lana (David) Daoust. She is also survived by her grandchildren Kara, Brian, Steven, and Mallory, and five great grandchildren.
