Scott Barrie

Scott was born on Feb. 16, 1964 to Kenneth and Mary Lou Barrie in Pontiac, Michigan.

Scott graduated from Hillman Community School and went on to acquire a certificate in welding at Alpena Community College.

His love for equipment, led him to build a career in excavating. He created and became owner and operator of Barrie’s Excavating.

Scott was blessed with four children, Tyler, Kyle, Kelsi, and Bella. His hobbies included hunting, fishing and shooting pool. He enjoyed his time with family and friends and running equipment.

Scott is survived by his sons Tyler (Brandy) Barrie, Kyle (Brandi) Barrie and two grandchildren Creed and Evelyn Barrie, a brother Shawn (Lisa) Barrie and sister Lisa (Bill) Dove.

Scott was preceded in death by his daughter, Kelsi and his parents, Kenneth and Mary Lou Barrie.

Cremation was handled by Fulkerson Stevenson, funeral home of North Dakota.

Graveside service will be held at Hillman Rust Township Cemetery on July 12 at noon with Marsha Marquardt officiating. A luncheon will follow at Hillman Senior Center.
