Roland Lawrence McLennan, Sr., 87, of Alpena, passed away Friday, June 20, 2025, at MyMichigan Medical Center - Alpena.
Larry was born in Pontiac on January 18, 1938, to the late Murdock and Marie (Fisher) McLennan. He married Winifred Childers on June 8, 1956. They were married 61 years until her death on June 7, 2017.
Surviving are his six children, Rollie (Diane) McLennan, Julie Maggio, Richard (Melissa) McLennan, Denise (Rick) Forrester, Rexall (Jackie) McLennan, Rebecca (Dave) Sommerfeld; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Larry was preceded in death by son-in-law, Mark Maggio; granddaughter, Kami Marie; two infant brothers; sister, Ada Powell; and brother, Elmer McLennan.
Visitation will take place at the Bannan Funeral Home Friday, June 27, 2025, from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. with Pastor Matthew Leavesley officiating.
Interment: Evergreen Cemetery
