Jeanine ‘K’ Zdan

She was the daughter of Alvin P. and Jean Ann (Lutzke) Crowder, born on January 6, 1941, in Saginaw, Michigan. K graduated from Alpena High School in 1959.

In the summer of 1959, she moved to Yuma, Arizona, with her parents, where she helped them open a fast-food restaurant. The love of her life, Alexander “Al” Zdan, came to Yuma in March 1961 after graduating from college, and they got married in March 1961. The couple returned to Alpena, where they assisted Al’s parents, “Big Al” and Katherine Zdan, in running the Long Lake Supermarket on Long Lake Highway.

K often affectionally referred to herself as a “band-roadie” for the several bands her husband played with.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Alexander “Al”, a sister, D. Sue Kissel of Prescott, Arizona, a niece, a nephew, and five cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are being handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.
