Daniel Bajema
Dan (Danny) was born on March 8, 1951 in Astoria, Oregon. He was raised in Fullerton, Ca. with his parents, Paul and Alice Bajema (Lange) (both deceased).
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Cecilia Perreault (Cici), and his children, Daniel Jr. (Charlotte Precord), Sarah Bajema, Zachary (Christian Bocobachi). Daughter Charmaine deceased. He is also survived by his two sisters, Vicki Hofmann (Ken), and Tamara Messman (Richard), both from California; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews who dearly miss him.
Dan was a graduate of California State University in Fullerton, Ca., and served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. During his military service he was stationed at Phelps Collins Air Base in Alpena, Mich. He fell in love with the town and often stated he felt like he was “coming home” the first time he arrived, subsequently declaring it the place he wanted to live. Dan worked various jobs in Arizona and California as a computer programmer, CAD drafter, and the self-employed owner of an internet media sales company, Titan’s Paw. Dan and his wife happily returned to Alpena upon retirement.
Danny was creative, witty, loving, and he had the ability to really listen to people and connect with them. He had a deep love of nature, trees, music, and his family. He was gentle, kind, and compassionate. Although he was a shy and reserved person, he was a loyal and devoted friend to those who had the privilege to know him.
