TERRY JAMES ATWELL

Terry James Atwell, age 72, of Posen, Michigan, passed away peacefully at home on April 28, 2025.

Terry was born Oct. 25, 1952, in Birmingham, Michigan. After beginning a career that took him far from his roots, he returned to pursue farming for the last three decades in Posen, Michigan. He loved hunting, fishing, and Michigan football. His favorite time of the year is when the snow melted and he could go cruising in his Corvette and spend time with his fellow Corvette enthusiasts, the Sunrise Side Corvette Club.

Terry is survived by his brother, Larry Atwell and his wife Sandy. His nephew Jason Atwell, wife Rachel, and their three children Connor, Layla, and Patrick. His niece Shelly Strickland, husband Charlie, and their two children Makenna and Keegan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Howard Atwell and Juanita Atwell.

Terry’s family will be holding a private ceremony in his honor. Arrangements have been made by the Bannan Funeral Home.
