STEPHANIE STEINKE

Stephanie Lynn Steinke, age 59, of Hillman, passed away at home on May 7, 2025.

She was born in Flint to Douglas and Melody (Walden) Gilbert on Dec. 15, 1965.

On Aug. 29, 1998 she married Darwin Steinke in Hillman. Stephanie enjoyed fishing, helping her husband build the lake house, shopping and going for Harley rides.

Stephanie is survived by her husband, Darwin; two children, Douglas (Charlotte) Helman of Hillman and Alicia Helman of Alabama; a grandson Rylan; her mother, Melody (Bob) Florinki of Durand; three siblings, Troy (Tania) Gilbert of Lake Orion, Nicole Gilbert of Pontiac and Amanda (Brent Sleiff) Gilbert of Hillman; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Douglas (Sandy) Gilbert; uncles, Wally Watkins and Dave Gilbert; and her beloved grandparents.

Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home on Monday, May 12 from 11 a.m. through time of her funeral at 1 p.m. Interment will take place at Hillman – Rust Cemetery.

Memorials may be given St. Jude Children’s Hospital in memory of Stephanie Steinke.
