Sally Ellsworth Bartz went home to her Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 26, 2025. Sally was in her home within familiar surroundings in the wonderful care of Custom Home Health Hospice Care, as well as her husband and her home health provider, Sandra Barlow.
Sally was born on April 30, 1938, to Mary (Hogan) and George Ellsworth. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Franklin, Ralph, and Roy and two sisters, Ida and Helen.
Sally is survived by her husband Marvin Bartz whom she married on Nov. 24, 1956, over 68 years ago. She is also survived by a sister, Hazel Trelfa, four children, Pamela Parks, Daniel Bartz, Mary Martin and Jeffrey Bartz along with eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and a great many nieces and nephews.
Sally enjoyed playing golf and bridge with her friends at Venice Golf and Country Club and still connected with friendships gained at Great Oaks Country Club. She enjoyed traveling with her husband Marvin, having visited nearly every continent. However, spending time with family and leading by example was her most important task. Her opinion and guidance were sought and valued by many.
A Celebration of Life event will be held at 10 a.m. at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Bloomfield Hills on May 31, 2025, with luncheon to follow. Inurnment will occur at a later date at Salem Lutheran Church Cemetery in Hubbard Lake.
