MICHAEL JAMES SMITH

Michael was born in Alpena on April 3, 1987, to James and Cynthia (Woytaszek) Smith. Mike worked as a diesel mechanic for many years. He enjoyed hunting, being in nature, but most importantly spending time with his son, Dawson, whether it was coaching baseball, football or just being a father.

Surviving are his son, Dawson; parents, James and Cindy Smith; three sisters, Megan (Andrew Thomson) Smith, Kelli Smith, Amanda (Josh) Skierski; four nieces and nephews, Elowyn, Liam, Macey, Mariah; grandmother, Delores Smith; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Mike was preceded in death by sister, Michelle; grandparents, Louis Smith; and John and Martha Woytaszek.

Memorial visitation will take place at the Bannan Funeral Home on Monday, May 19, 2025, from noon until the time of the memorial service at 3 p.m. with Paul Spigelmyre, Minister officiating.
