Margaret M. Arpin

Margaret M. Minton was born in Alpena on Sept. 9, 1931, to the late Martin and Mary (Timmreck) Minton. She retired from Alpena Public Schools, was a member of the All Saints of Alpena, its rosary society group #8. In her younger years she enjoyed gardening, crocheting, knitting, later in life enjoyed a simple ride in the country, but most important was spending time with her family.

Surviving are her daughter, Melinda Mills; six grandchildren, Ginger (Derek) McLaren, Cody (Abbie) McDonald, Staci Smith, Marty (Allison) Mills, Mike Mills, Aaron Mills; 10 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Arpin; longtime companion, Bill Albright; three sons, Marty Mills, Thomas Arpin Jr., Victor “Bucky” Mills; siblings, infant William, Michael Minton, Martin Minton Jr., Leonard Minton, John Minton, Mary Ellery, Myrtle Donakowski, Blanche Parkis, Ellen Trapp and Annabelle Dziuba.

Visitation will take place at the Bannan Funeral Home on Monday, June 2, 2025, from 2 to 8 p.m. with the rosary at 3 p.m. and a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue on Tuesday at St. Anne Church of All Saints Parish from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Emmanuel Finbarr officiating.

Interment: Holy Cross Cemetery
