BEVERLY SUE SMITH

Beverly Sue Besky was born in Alpena on Sept. 30, 1958, to the late Robert and Diane (Prezlawski) Besky. She married Jerry Smith on March 28, 2009. He preceded her in death on Aug. 9, 2023. She enjoyed spending time baking, doing craft projects, and her pets, but spending time with her family was the most important.

She is survived by her two children, Jason (Tonia Reinig) Piper, Stephanie (Justin Sobeck) Piper; grandson, Brayden Piper; three siblings, Deb (Vic) Ross, Johnny (Tracy) Besky, Bobby Besky, Jr.; several nieces and nephews.

Bev was preceded in death by two daughters, Marissa Piper, Nicole Piper and grandson, Brylee Zaske.

A graveside service will take place on Friday, July 11, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Holy Cross Cemetery with a celebration of Bev’s life following. Cremation arrangements are being handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.
