Agnes Klemens

Agnes Klemens, of Alpena, age 92, passed away on Friday, May 23, 2025, at MyMichigan Medical Center in Alpena.

Agnes was born in Mio, Michigan, to the late George and Mary (Hatzke) Galbraith. A graduate of Mio AuSable Schools. Agnes married the love of her life, Robert Klemens, on Sept. 12, 1953. Agnes worked hard for her family and community whether she was parenting her six children, maintaining their rentals or running her real estate office with integrity and leadership for 40 years. Agnes took pride in helping people obtain the dream of home ownership when they thought they couldn’t. Agnes was a member of the All Saints Parish and the Rosary Society of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Agnes worked with the Boy Scouts of America (Cub Scouts) as a Den Mother.

Surviving Mrs. Klemens are, Steven and Esther Klemens of Alpena, daughter-in-law Robin (Bobick) Klemens of Sterling Heights, son-in-law Mark Oliver of Midland, Sean Klemens of Georgia, Dawn Klemens of Lansing and Mary Clifton of New York; six grandchildren, Dr. Chelsea and Ryan Clinton, Elise and Cory Cuyler, Alexander Klemens, Brendan Klemens, Anna Clifton, David and Rachel Martin; seven great-grandchildren, Ryder, Jordan, Luna, Aidan, Rian, Evelyn, Madelyn.

Mrs. Klemens was preceded in death by her husband Robert, son Timothy, daughter Teresa; her brothers and their spouses: John (Irene Heller), Paul (Audrey Perry), Francis (Jewell Hatchett), James (Jean Hamil), Leo (Patricia Layman), Thomas (Julia Bailey) and Martin (Sally) Galbraith; her sisters Matilda, Margaret (Fred) Kauffman

Visitation will be at St. Anne Church of All Saints Parish Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon with Mass at noon.
