NANCY JANE THORNTON

Nancy Jane Thornton, 75, of Alpena passed away Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Medilodge of Alpena.

Nancy Jane Clewley was born in Alpena on Sept. 27, 1949, to the late Everett and Mildred (Cohoon) Clewley.

Surviving are her two sons, James Brenton, Chris (Pam) Brenton; one granddaughter, Makayla Brenton; and a sister, Karren (Manuel) Ritthaler.

Nancy was preceded in death by 10 siblings, Avis Snyder, R.B. Clewley, Homer Clewley, Leonard Clewley, Russell Clewley, Charles Clewley, Chester Clewley, Ariletta Beaubien, Dorothy New, and Doreen Klein.

Cremation arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home. A graveside service will take place at the Spratt Cemetery in the spring.
