Douglas A. Hayka, 74, of Alpena, passed away at home Saturday, Feb. 1, 2025, with his loving family at his side following a long battle with heart disease.
Visiting hours for Doug will be held on Thursday, Feb. 6, 2025, at St. Paul Lutheran Church – Alpena from 11 a.m. until the service at 2 p.m. with the Rev. John Shipman officiating. Military honors will be accorded by the U.S. Army and VFW Post #2496. Interment will take place in the spring at King Settlement Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the VFW Post #2496 Maintenance Fund, Compassus Hospice, or St. Paul Lutheran Church - Alpena. McWilliams Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
