MICHAEL WAYNE ROULEAU

Michael Wayne Rouleau, 77, of Hillman, passed away Friday, Dec. 6, 2024, at his home of an apparent heart attack.
Michael was born on April 15, 1947, in Alpena, to the late Charles and Lorlea (Sheldon) Rouleau. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. On Dec. 31, 1970, he married Alice Havermahl. Mike started and ran Hillman Artic Cat Sales, later worked as a long-haul truck driver for many years and retired as the wood buyer for the Hillman Power Plant. He found joy in hunting, fishing, visiting auctions and pawn shops in Oklahoma, but he valued spending time with his family the most, particularly watching his grandchildren play in their sports. He enjoyed spending time in his barn, fixing small engines, and sharing his knowledge with his grandchildren.
Surviving are his wife, Alice; three children, Tracie (Wesley) Keys, Michelle (Richard) Krueger, Michael (Andrea) Rouleau, Jr.; 12 grandchildren, David (Nitascha) Gordon, Jr., Devin Gordon, Trenton (Justi) Gordon, Trevor (Josie) Gordon, Allie (Keys), Brooklyn (Brandon) Hunter, Lauren (Eli) McSherry, Brooke (Charles) Spencer, Ethan Brandt, Kourtney (Caleb) Zimmer, Brenden Rouleau, Layne Rouleau; 10 great-grandchildren; six siblings, Diane (David) Kiefer, Wendy (Bill) Barnard, Greg (Susan) Rouleau, Lori (Fran) Vorachek, Kim Rouleau, Bruce (Pam) Rouleau; two sisters-in-law, Vicki Rouleau, Beverly Rouleau; brother-in-law, Gary (Lori) Gagnon; and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Rouleau was preceded in death by his two brothers, Gary Rouleau, Dean Rouleau; sister, Lynette Gagnon.
Visitation will take place at the Bannan Funeral Home in Hillman on Wednesday from 2 to 8 p.m. and will continue on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Jason Mandley officiating. Military honors will be accorded him by Montmorency VFW Post 2356.
