WAYNE LAMIONE LECKRONE

Wayne Lamione Leckrone, 59, of Alpena, passed away on Nov. 2, 2024, of an apparent stroke.

Wayne was born in Manistee on Oct. 27, 1965, to the late Eldon and Mary (Beebe) Leckrone and married Jocelyn Soldenski on June 7, 1991. Wayne was known for his kind and caring heart; he would give the shirt off his back to anyone that needed it. Wayne enjoyed being in nature, hunting and fishing was his peace. Anything to do with the outdoors he found enjoyment in, looking for morels, buck scrapes, and even just enjoying the sunsets and sunrises that he would take a picture of every time to send to his wife. Everyone knew Wayne as “Wingnut”, he was known for his loyalty to friends and his family and always enjoyed getting everyone together and spending time with them. He was one that loved to help people, if you ever needed anything he would be right there helping no matter what was going on. Wayne also loved spending time with his grandkids, he was always talking about them and showing people pictures of them, he lived for them and loved them all so much.

Wayne had many jobs over the years truck driving, running equipment in the woods, checking gas wells, doing odds-and-end jobs for anyone that needed them, but his favorite job was to be in the woods running the equipment.

Wayne leaves behind; his wife Jocelyn; four children, Rachel (Daniel Biagi) Leckrone, Jacob (Desiree) Leckrone, Desiree Fowler, Ashley Leckrone; grandkids: Aaliyah, Bryce, Owen, MJ, Kylie, Marissa, Dion; sisters, Connie (Steve) Beattie, Carol (Rick) Leckrone, Suzanne (Michael) Escobar, Theresa Hauserman, Linda (David) Stieg, Patty (Joe) Lonsbury; several nieces and nephews.

Wayne is preceded in death by; stepfather, Frank Swett.

Memorial visitation will take place on Friday, Nov. 8, 2024, at the Bannan Funeral Home from 2 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 4 p.m. with the Rev. Charlie Donajkowski officiating.
