LARRY GUY KINDT

Larry Guy Kindt, 69, of Ossineke, passed away at home Saturday, Nov. 23, 2024.

Larry graduated from Alpena High School in 1973. He worked for local farmers growing up, and with his father at Kindt Electric. He later went on to work for General Motors Corporation before enlisting in the U.S. Navy where he served from 1982-1984 and received the Professional Leadership Achievement Citation while performing his duties as a 16-inch 50 caliber gun powderman on the USS New Jersey. Following his service time, he returned to General Motors where he would eventually retire. Larry enjoyed hunting, fishing, and time spent with family and friends.

Larry is survived by his father William “Fred” (Joanne) Kindt, his brothers, Rickie (Esther) Kindt of Ossineke, Dennis (Annette) Kindt of Alpena, Allen (Mary Beth) Kindt of Green Bay, Wisconsin, his sister, Tamyra (Gary) DeCaire of Huntsville, Alabama, stepbrother, Herbie (Jan) Schiller of Alpena, stepsisters, Julie King of Long Lake, Laurie (Wayne) Aube of Alpena, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Delores M. Stevens.

Larry has been taken for cremation with a memorial service to take place at a later date. Arrangements were cared for by McWilliams Funeral Home.
