Karen L. Burcar (Kraniak), age 79, of Frankfort, Illinois passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2024 at her home.

Karen is survived by her loving family, husband, Anthony James Burcar, children, Matthew Burcar, Mark (Constance Persico) Burcar, Michael (Amanda Motyka) Burcar, grandchildren, Anastasia (Vlamison) Araujo, Tatiana (Michael Dudash) Burcar, Victoria Burcar, Angelina Burcar, Alexandria Burcar, great-grandchildren, Lillian Araujo and Bella Araujo.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Ethel Kraniak (Gindt).

Karen was a longtime member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Frankfort, Illinois and formerly employed by Summit Hill School District #161.

Family will receive friends at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 7659 W. Sauk Trail, Frankfort, Illinois, 60423, on Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2024 from 10 a.m. until time of the Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Interment will be private at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, donations in Karen’s memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
