SALLY ANN WEKWERT

Sally Ann Wekwert, 84, of Alpena, passed away Friday, Oct. 18, 2024, at her home surrounded by her daughters and son.

Sally Ann Majewski was born on Jan. 14, 1940, to the late Leo and Clara (Kowalski) Majewski. She worked and retired from Alpena Regional Medical Center in 2004. On Oct. 17, 1959, she married Roy M. Wekwert, Sr., they had 64 years of marriage before his death on Jan. 25, 2024. Sally was a member of All Saints Parish and the Daughter’s of Isabella.

Surviving are five children, Roy (Karen) Wekwert, Jr., Denise Schuch, Wayne Wekwert, Renee (Kevan) Rogers, Mary (Jason) Trudgen; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Sally was preceded in death by a brother, James Majewski.

Visitation will take place on Friday at the Bannan Funeral Home from 2 to 8 p.m. with a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue of Saturday at St. Anne Church of All Saints Parish from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Aloysius Okpala officiating.
