DUANE GERALD CRAMER

Duane Gerald Cramer, a man of kindness and gentleness, passed away peacefully on Oct. 17, 2024, in Detroit, at the age of 62. Born on Jan. 1, 1962, in Alpena, Duane’s life was a testament to the power of love, family, and service to others.

Duane was the cherished son of Gerald and Gail (King) Cramer. His father, Gerald, and his beloved wife, Cindy, who passed away in 2018, as well as his treasured daughter, Sarah, preceded him in death. He leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion through his children, Cathy and Tony Cramer, and his caring brothers, Michael (Carol) Cramer, Terry (Patricia) Cramer, and Todd (Laura) Cramer.

Throughout his life, Duane dedicated himself to caring for others, a calling he fulfilled through his work as a caregiver. His compassionate nature and unwavering patience made him a pillar of support to those he served. Duane’s commitment to his profession was matched only by his love for his family and his passion for the great outdoors.

An avid hunter and fisherman, Duane found solace and joy in the tranquility of nature. His happiest moments were those spent in the woods or by the water, often accompanied by family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at McWilliams Funeral Home on Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2024, at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Leslie Nye officiating. There will be an hour of visiting prior to the service.
