BETTY MARIE DUBIE

Betty Marie Dubie, 95, of Lachine, passed away Sunday, Oct. 13, 2024, at Hillman Haven.

Betty Marie LaFleche was born May 31, 1929, in Montmorency County, to the late Alphonse and Elizabeth (Creamer) LaFleche. On Nov. 12, 1947, she married Donald Dubie. He preceded her in death on June 26, 1984. Betty worked at Zaiger Beverage, retiring in 1984. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church. Betty enjoyed golfing, traveling, and doing crafts.

Surviving are her five children, Connie Dubie, Onalee (Lloyd) Gries, Duane (Mary) Dubie, Rick (Ava) Dubie, Kelli (Robert) Clearwood; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; seven siblings, Albert LaFleche, Kenneth (Geri) LaFleche, Patrick (Sue) LaFleche, Glen LaFleche, Rosemary (Art) Hunt, Peggy (Jim) Cavanaugh, Alphonse LaFleche Jr.; sisters-in-law, Joan LaFleche, Jacki LaFleche; many nieces and nephews.

Betty was preceded in death by her son, Ronald “Butch” Dubie; grandson, Shawn Gries; six siblings, George (Dorothy) LaFleche, Joseph (Lorene) LaFleche, Gerald (Elaine) LaFleche, Mary Ann (Gary) Brown, Donald LaFleche, Mert LaFleche; and sisters-in-law, Marjean LaFleche and Karen LaFleche.

Visitation will take place Friday at St. Augustine Catholic Church from 9:30 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 a.m. with the Rev. James Siler officiating. Arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.
