SHAWN PHILLIP FESSLER

Shawn Phillip Fessler, 51, passed away on Sept. 9, 2024, at his brother’s home surrounded by family who loved him.

Shawn was born in Novi on Sept. 12, 1972. Shawn was a graduate of Hilliman High School and honorably served in the United States Army during The Gulf War. His humor and smile will be missed.

He was a proud father to Chloe and Tabitha and adoring grandfather to Jameson and Adaline. He is also survived by his mother, Patricia Fessler; 12 siblings and beloved nieces and nephews.

Shawn was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Sheila Fessler.

Military honors by VFW Alpena Post 2496 will take place Saturday, Sept. 28, 2024, at the Spratt Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. followed by a celebration of Shawn’s life at the Green Township Hall from noon to 2 p.m. Cremation arrangements are being handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.
