MARY ELIZABETH HAINSTOCK

MARY ELIZABETH HAINSTOCK

June 10, 1958 – Sept. 11, 2024

Mary Elizabeth "Liz" Hainstock, 66, of Manistee, lived a life first and foremost as a devoted servant to God. She passed at her pretty home on Sept. 11, 2024.

Mary Elizabeth Lamble was born June 10, 1958, to the late Howard and Ruth Lamble in Royal Oak and married Mac Hainstock on March 29, 1980.

Liz was always up for an adventure: a concert, a road trip, "traipsing." Aside from her book club with her dear friends, Shirley and Ruth--which was really just drinking wine on the beach--and an affinity for photography--where she took hundreds of photographs without the memory card in her camera--Liz's greatest joy came from taking care of others. Whether it was dedicating her time teaching children of God's love or asking her husband what he wanted for dinner in the last hours of her life, Liz lived selflessly and generously.

She is survived by many blessings: Mac, her loving husband of 44 years, five children; Maggie (Steve) Cubbler, Nathan (Kristi) Hainstock, Luke (Crystal) Hainstock, Benjamin (Nicole) Hainstock, James (Ashley) Hainstock; six grandchildren, Julia, Will, Jack, Harper, Ian, Finn; four siblings, Carol Sempowski, Judy Armstong, Nancy (Ron) Corey, Michael Lamble; numerous nieces, nephews, and countless friends.

Gratefully, she is now in the company of her parents and her sister, Sue Prucha.

Where Liz received love, she gave it back tenfold and she will be missed forever.

Visitation will be at Bannan Funeral Home 222 S. Second Ave, Alpena, MI on Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2024, from 3 p.m. until the time of the parish prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue on Thursday at St. Bernard Church of All Saints Parish from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Aloysius Okpala officiating.

Interment: Presque Isle Cemetery

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
