Karen Marie Gonsler, 70, of Hubbard Lake, went to be with her beloved Lord and Savior on Sept. 2, 2024. She was born on April 24, 1954, to the late Roman "Marlowe" Larson and Norma Rose Kennedy Larson. Aside from her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Vernon Radick.
Karen grew up in Farmington and later moved to Hubbard Lake when she married her husband, Jon in 1996. She worked as a Store Director for Glens Market for over 25 years before retiring in 2005. Karen was renowned for her cooking and baking skills; everything that came out of her kitchen was made with love and was delicious. Her greatest joy came from her grandchildren and great-grandsons. She always looked forward to her Thursday Lunch Ladies meetings each week and cherished her many friendships. Karen was devoted to serving her Lord and Savior and was eagerly anticipating spending eternity in His presence.
Karen leaves behind her husband, Jon W. Gonsler, daughter Kimberly M. (Charles) Crampton of Crown Point, Ind., Grandchildren Christopher, Alyssa, Preston, Miller and Kennedy Crampton, Great-Grandsons, Everett and Lincoln Gravley, her brother Keith (Carol) Larson, her sisters Cynthia A. (Ron) McTaggart and Loretta L Soderquist, Nephews Aaron (Trisha) Larson and Cody McTaggart, nieces Krystil (Dennis) Snyder and Brittney Mochty.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, Sept. 6, 2024, at noon at Word of Life Baptist Church with Pastor Scott Joy officiating. Family will receive friends starting at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers please consider a memorial donation to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation. McWilliams Funeral Home was entrusted with her care.
