GEORGENE ELLEN ANDERSON

Georgene Ellen Anderson, 89, of Alpena passed away Thursday, September 5, 2024, at her home.

Georgene Ellen Blohm was born in Bay City to the late George and Edna (Herbolsheimer) Blohm. She worked and retired from Family and Child Services in 2005. She married Milton “Bud” Anderson on Feb. 14, 1975. He preceded her in death on April 2, 2003. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church and helped cofound the local Parkinson’s Disease Support Group.

Surviving are her three children, Ricky (Melissa) Ayres, Ellen (James) Burke, Luanne (Joseph) Seward, nine grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Alan (Leona) Blohm.

Cremation arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home. A private family memorial service will take place at a later time.
