Emily Marion Edmonds, 103, of Alpena, passed away Sunday, Sept. 8, 2024, at Besser Senior Living Community.
Emily Marion Calcut was born on May 31, 1921, in Green Township, to the late Fred and Eveline "Eva" (Arbuckle) Calcut. On June 29, 1940, she married H. Roy Edmonds. He preceded her in death on April 22, 2002. She attended Baptist churches her whole life and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Alpena Post 2496. She enjoyed quilting and crocheting.
Surviving are her five children, Arnold Edmonds, Barbara Boyce, Fred (Judy) Edmonds, Robert (DeLynn) Edmonds, James (Yvette) Edmonds; 15 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren; and 22 great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Edmonds was preceded in death by daughter-in-law, Carol Edmonds, son-in-law, John Boyce; two grandsons, Arnold Edmonds, Jr., Nicholas Szott; and six siblings.
Visitation will take place at the Bannan Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2 to 8 p.m. and where the funeral service will take place on Thursday at 11 a.m. with Pastor W. James Buckley officiating.
Interment: Evergreen Cemetery
