Deanna Lou Skidmore, 86, of Alpena, passed away peacefully Thursday, Sept. 19, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Deanna Lou Diemond was born Sept. 2, 1938, in Alpena, to the late Edward and Margaret (Bromund) Diemond. On Nov. 29, 1958, she married Norman Skidmore. He preceded her in death on May 11, 2001. Deanna was a member of Alpena Free Methodist Church.
Surviving are her four daughters, Cindy Skidmore, Vicki Oberski, Linda (Rod) Smith, Becky (Tom) Lahner; seven grandchildren, Scott, Heidi, Harrison, Kaitlyn, Hannah, Kelsey, Thomas; three great-grandchildren, Camden, Whitney, Sophia; three siblings, Glenn Diemond, Ralph (Kay) Diemond, and Phyllis Donakowski.
Deanna was preceded in death by three siblings, Duane Diemond, Margaret Elowsky, and Joyce McLain.
A private graveside service has taken place at Evergreen Cemetery with the Rev. Richard George officiating. Arrangements are being handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.
