William Herbert Hochrein, 92, of Alpena, passed away Sunday, Aug. 11, 2024.
William was born March 23, 1932, in Isabella County, to the late Herbert and Mary (Hadley) Hochrein. He served in the United States Air Force. On Sept. 18, 1954, he married Marion Nowak. She preceded him in death on Sept. 22, 2023. William worked at Thunder Bay Manufacturing, retiring in 1994. He enjoyed working in his shop and yard.
Surviving are his son, Robert Hochrein; daughter-in-law, Candy Hochrein; grandson, William Hochrein Jr.; great-granddaughter, Hailey Hochrein; two sisters, Debbie (Richard) Kosloski and Dolores Fasciana.
William was preceded in death by his son, William Hochrein; infant grandson, Wayne Hochrein; and brother, Eugene Hochrein.
Visitation will take place Thursday at Bannan Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until the funeral service at noon with the Rev. Tyler Bischoff officiating.
Interment: Holy Cross Cemetery
