Thomas Arthur Woizeschke, 73, of Alpena, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2024, at Bronson Hospital in Battle Creek.
Thomas was born Aug. 3, 1951, in Monroe, to the late Arthur and Elizabeth (Musgrave) Woizeschke. On Feb. 16, 1980, he married Judy Kieliszewski. Tom was a 1969 graduate of Alpena High School, ACC and Lake Superior State University. He worked for the State of Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, retiring in 2010. Tom was active as a Big Brother, CAN Team, and From Decisions to Actions for Catholic Human Services.
Tom was a member of Alpena Lions Club – two-time president, recipient of the Melvin Jones Fellowship Award, Lake Emma Hunting and Fishing Club - former secretary/treasurer and its tractor operator. He loved a nice lawn. Thomas enjoyed hunting, fishing, outdoor activities, craft beer and Michigan breweries. He was an avid fan of his grandchildren's sports activities and milestones. He enjoyed traveling to Mexico in winter, national parks, historic sites, theaters, and professional sports events.
Surviving are his wife, Judy; son, Kevin (Amy) Doyle; three grandchildren, Allyson (Michael) Bauman, Alexander (fiancee Felicia Marzolf) Doyle, Katherine Doyle; three great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Henry & Margaret Bauman; siblings, Michael (Karen Harrison) Woizeschke, Mary Beth Fish; niece and nephews, Jamie (Chris) Wilder, Jonathan (Jamie) Harrison, Ryan (Julie) Fish, and Tyler (Ani) Fish.
Visitation will take place Monday at Bannan Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until the funeral service at 1 p.m. with the Rev. John Shipman officiating.
Interment: Holy Cross Cemetery
