Shirley Mae Sincler, 92, of Alpena, passed away Sunday, Aug. 11, 2024, at Medilodge of Green View.
Shirley Mae Kirchoff was born Nov. 4, 1931, in Alpena, to the late Leonard and Mary (Knechtel) Kirchoff. On Dec. 8, 1972, she married William Sincler. He preceded her in death on Dec. 8, 2019. Shirley retired from St. Joseph Hospital in Flint in 1987 and moved back to Alpena. She enjoyed doing many crafts, including crochet, basket weaving, knitting, and oil painting.
Surviving are her daughter, Bonnie (Tom) Spain; stepchildren, Brad Sincler, Kathy (Doug) Sullivan; grandson, Wesley (Meagan) Spain; four great-granddaughters; sister, Dixie Weiler; and several nieces and nephews.
Shirley was preceded in death by four siblings, Leonard Kirchoff, Thelma Grace, James Kirchoff, and Caroline Weise.
Memorial visitation will take place Thursday, Aug. 15, 2024, at Bannan Funeral Home from noon until the memorial service at 2 p.m. with Wesley Spain officiating.
