Robyn Wisniewski, a beacon of love and kindness, passed away peacefully on Aug. 19, 2024, in Traverse City. Born on March 10, 1976, in Alpena, she was a cherished daughter of the late Bob & Sandra (Busia) Wisniewski. Robyn was a loving partner, mother, sister, and aunt. Robyn's gentle spirit and warm presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Robyn's life was a testament to her loving nature. She was the heart of her family, leaving behind her loving partner of 35 years, Brian "JJ" McVannel, with whom she shared a beautiful journey filled with laughter and love. Her legacy of kindness continues through her daughter, McKenzy, who was the light of her life. Robyn was a beloved sister to Taleen (Marshall) Jackson and Stephen (Tracy) Wisniewski, along with many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law who loved her dearly. Many nieces and nephews will carry fond memories of their aunt's gentle guidance and unconditional support.

In her professional life, Robyn was a dedicated and valued employee at Thunder Bay Resort, where her work ethic and personable nature made her a favorite among colleagues and guests alike. Passionate about her community, she assisted Brian in nurturing their Marathon Station at the corner of M-32 and M-65 into a flourishing establishment, much to the benefit of the local area.

Robyn's interests were a reflection of her joyful spirit. At a young age she developed a love for sports. Playing basketball and softball all through school including college. Music and concerts were among her favorite pastimes, allowing her to immerse herself in the harmony of melodies and the energy of live performances. Traveling was another of Robyn's passions, with Mackinac Island holding a special place in her heart. She relished the times spent on the water, whether it was boating on the serene lakes of Michigan or simply enjoying the tranquility of nature with her family.

The words that best describe Robyn are loving, kind, thoughtful, generous and gentle. She approached life with a tenderness that was both rare and inspiring. Her ability to see the good in people and situations, coupled with her unwavering kindness, made her a cherished friend and confidant to many.

Robyn is at McWilliams Funeral Home where family will receive friends on Saturday, Aug. 24, 2024, from noon until the time of the service at 3 p.m. with Fr. Tyler Bischoff officiating. She will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery.
