PARKER JOHN WHITEHEAD

Parker John Whitehead, 22, of Alpena, passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2024, as the result of a motorcycle accident.

Parker was born in Alpena on Feb. 4, 2002. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, was always working on projects, and loved his dog Beam. Parker took pride in renovating his first home and shared adventures with many friends that were like family to him. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anybody. In his final act of generosity, he was able to save the lives of numerous others through Gift of Life.

Surviving are his parents, Janice (Randy) Whitehead; siblings, Jamie (Ryan), Makayla (Tanner), Hunter (Katie), Paige (Shayne), Marissa; 12 nieces and nephews, including his special gaming buddy, Braiden; grandparents, Lynda VanDusen, Charles and Cindy Attinson; special partner, Marissa Pohl; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and close relative Jessica and family.

Parker was preceded in death by his father, Lonnie, grandfather, Frank VanDusen; uncle, Johnny and aunt, Michelle.

Memorial visitation will take place at the Bannan Funeral Home on Thursday, Aug. 8, 2024, from 1 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 4 p.m. with the Rev. Herb Kitzman.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Second Chance Animal Shelter or Alpena Boys and Girls Club.
