JASON CLETE RENSBERRY

Jason Clete Rensberry, 50, of Alpena, passed away Thursday, Aug. 1, 2024, at MyMichigan Medical Center – Midland.

Jason was born Oct. 17, 1973, in Alpena, to Vernie and Pamela (Thom) Rensberry. He worked at Besser Company since 2000 and most recently as the CFO. On Feb. 14, 2004, he married Valerie (Soltysiak) Ilsley. He was the most amazing brother, uncle, son, father, and husband – don’t know anyone who didn’t like him or that he didn’t like. Jason was the kindest, most gentle caring human. He had a way of becoming everyone’s best friend. Jason never wanted to be the life of the party, but somehow, he always was. He was known to have the best music playlists around.

Jason was an avid fisherman, he loved fishing, boating, golfing, sports and especially watching Jonathon playing. He had a love of all sports and his job. We are asking visitors to wear his favorites, Lions, Tigers, Alpena Wildcats, Red Wings, or Besser Company apparel.

Surviving are his wife, Val; two children, Jonathon Rensberry, Cameron Ilsley; parents, Vern and Pam Rensberry; sister, Tami (Michael) Dipzinski; and nephew, Mitchel Dipzinski.

Memorial visitation will take place Saturday at Bannan Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until the memorial service at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Warren Hoffman officiating.
