GERALDINE ELAINE LASECKI

Geraldine "Geri" Elaine Lasecki, 88, of Alpena, passed away Saturday, Aug. 3, 2024, at Besser Senior Living Community.

Geraldine Elaine Kieliszewski was born in Posen on Nov. 18, 1935, to the late Joseph and Mary (Bronikowski) Kieliszewski. She married Ralph Lasecki on May 17, 1958, at St. Casimir Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on March 11, 2011. Geri worked for General Telephone as an operator until her retirement in 1985. She was a member of All Saints Parish, its Rosary Society, and MyMichigan Medical Center's Auxiliary.

Geri enjoyed gardening, spending time at Grand Lake, and traveling, especially trips to various casinos. She participated in all types of activities offered at Besser Senior Living. Her favorite activity was dancing when entertainers visited the facility and while listening to Polish music. She loved watching the birds and the deer visiting her feeders. She would make sure other residents knew when the deer were outside her window and loved bringing them to her room which offered a perfect view.

Surviving are three children, Mark (Courtney) Lasecki, Jean (Jim) Lenard, Karl Lasecki; three grandchildren, Cameron (Mary Kate) Lenard, Madelyn Lasecki, John Lasecki; great-grandson, Luke Lenard.

Mrs. Lasecki was preceded in death by a brother, Alphonse Kieliszewski.

Visitation will take place at the Bannan Funeral Home on Thursday, Aug. 22, 2024, from 2 to 8 p.m. with hospital auxiliary service at 2:30; rosary at 3 p.m. and a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue at St. Mary Church of All Saints Parish on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Aloysius Okpala officiating.

Interment: Holy Cross Cemetery

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the MyMichigan Medical Center - Auxiliary.
