COLLEEN MARY GRANT

Colleen Mary Grant, age 77, of Onaway, passed away at McLaren Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey on Aug. 18, 2024.

She was born in Detroit on Dec. 13, 1946, to Walter and Maxine (Mullen) Hladchuk.

Colleen grew up in Rochester where she attended St. Andrew Catholic School then graduated from Avondale High School in 1965. On Sept. 23, 1967, she married Bruce Grant at St. Irenaeus Catholic Church, also in Rochester. In 1983 she and her husband Bruce purchased Klein’s Manitou Beach Motel and reopened it as Manitou Shores Resort. She loved spending time with their guests who very quickly became friends. Colleen enjoyed turkey and deer hunting.

She is survived by her husband, Bruce and her brother, Walter (Chole) Hladchuk of Imlay City.

Colleen was preceded in death by her parents.

A private service will take place.
