Audrey Jean Filarski, 84, of Posen, passed away peacefully at home on Aug. 6, 2024.
She was born at home in Rogers City to Lawrence and Alice (Hamann) Kortman on July 28, 1940.
Audrey graduated from Rogers City High School in 1958. She was involved with the Pulawski Township Election Board and the Posen School Board for many years. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, gardening and spending time tending to her flower beds. Audrey was a member of St. Casimir Catholic Church and its Rosary Sodality.
She is survived by five sons, Kevin (Sue) Filarski of Pinconning, Chris (Debbie) Filarski of Georgia, Joseph (Kathy) Filarski of Northville, Thomas (Nickole) Filarski of Gaylord and Jeffrey (Mary Ann) Filarski of New Hudson; 12 grandchildren, Victoria, Christina, Daniel, James (Audrey), Austin, Jacob (Brooke), Marissa, Spencer, Cheyenne, Whitney, Hunter and Jacob (Micayle); three great-grandchildren, Samson, Nathie and Braylee; three siblings, Orlan (Lorrain) Kortman, Georgene (John) Urban and Douglas (Jean) Kortman; and family friend, Eric.
Audrey was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent Leo Filarski.
Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home on Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. where the Rosary Sodality will lead the Rosary at 6:30 p.m. followed by the Parish Prayer Service at 7 p.m. Visitation will resume on Monday at St. Casimir Catholic Church from 10 a.m. until time of Mass at 11 a.m. with Fr. Charlie Donajkowski officiating.
Inurnment will take place at St. Casimir Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
Memorials may be given to Friends Together in memory of Audrey Filarski.
