MILTON H. HANSON

Milton H. Hanson, 91, of Alpena, passed peacefully at home on July 10, 2024, surrounded by family.

Milton was born Sept. 8, 1932, to the late Harry and Sadie (Barager) Hanson, in Alpena, Michigan.

Milton was a heavy equipment operator for 47-and-a-half years for the City of Alpena. He enjoyed baking bread, hunting, woodworking and loved picking berries. Milton was an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church-Alpena.

He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Geraldine; one son, Richard (Emily) Hanson; three grandchildren, Brian (Missie) Hanson, Derek (Amy) Hanson, Megan (Austin) Sees; three great-grandchildren, Dalton Hanson, Charlotte and Ryan Sees; one brother, Arthur (Sandy) Hanson; sister-in-law, Barbara Crittenden; brother-in-law, Steven (Madelyn) Precour; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his two brothers and four sisters.

Visitation will take place at the Bannan Funeral Home on Sunday, July 14, 2024, from 2-6 p.m. and will continue at St. Paul Lutheran Church of Alpena, Monday, July 15, 2024, from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. with the Rev. John Shipman officiating.

Interment: Evergreen Cemetery
