MARILYN BARNETT

Marilyn Barnett, 77, of Alpena passed away Monday, July 29, 2024, at her home in Grand Blanc.

Marilyn Patrick was born Dec. 5, 1946, in Breathitt County, Ky. to the late Hugh and Sally (Haddix) Patrick. On Oct. 17, 1964, she married Jerry Barnett. He preceded her in death on Dec. 16, 2016. Marilyn attended Spratt United Methodist Church and enjoyed gardening and quilting.

Surviving are her three daughters, Melissa (Steve) Dashevich, Tammy (Eric) Korhonen, Penney Miller; eight grandchildren, Cody, Brianna, Dane, Deven, Lilly, Emily, Ben, Ashleigh; brother, Robert (Rayetta) Fugate; and sister, Mary Fugate.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her stepfather, John Terry, and brother-in-law, Estill Fugate.

Visitation will take place Friday at Spratt United Methodist Church from 10 a.m. until the funeral service at noon with the Rev. Robert Nystrom officiating.
