Gerald F. Snyder, son of Issac and Nellie Snyder, born Nov. 18, 1931, passed away with loved ones by his side May 23, 2024.
"Jerry" moved to Detroit from Lachine after graduation.
There he was hired by General Motors to be a member of their Design Staff. He married Ruth Lewis who had also moved to Detroit to attend nursing school. Jerry retired from GM at 55 and traveled the USA with Ruth. They enjoyed many adventures together.
He is preceded in death by his wife Ruth Snyder, sons Thomas Snyder and Jeffery Snyder. He is survived by daughters Jennifer (Scott) Hunt, Laura (Keith)Pelka, grandchildren Ashley Durbow, Shane (Megan) Harvey, James Snyder and TJ Snyder, great-grandchildren Julian Bazart Durbrow, Elizabeth and Raymond Snyder and Landon Snyder.
Jerry will laid to rest with his family at Hillman-Rust Cemetery in Hillman Michigan.
