Dixie Jean Julian, of Alpena, got her angel wings and passed peacefully into heaven on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at her home. A wonderful, caring, and giving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, she will be immensely missed by all who knew and loved her. Dixie was preceded in death by her husband, James, the love of her life, and is survived by her children, Kerry Julian, and Tom (Audrey) Julian of Alpena, and Richard Julian of Overstreet, Florida; her sisters, Joanne Aiken of Auburn, Indiana and Mary Minnick of Alpena and her brother, Jere (Diana) Standen of Alpena, and many extraordinary grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews whom she so loved and cared for in so many ways. She may be gone from our sight but will remain forever in our hearts.
A private graveside service and celebration of Dixie's life will take place at a later date. Cremation arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.
