SHERYL RUTH McBRIDE

Sheryl Ruth (Agar) McBride, 81, of Curran, passed away Friday, May 31, 2024, at her home.

Sheryl Ruth Agar was born in Ann Arbor on Aug. 10, 1942, to the late Frank and Flossie (Law) Agar. She graduated from Ann Arbor Pioneer High School. She met and later married Jerry McBride on June 20, 1970. He preceded her in death on June 18, 2019. Sheryl worked for various Ann Arbor companies for approximately 31 years. She had been an Ann Arbor resident until the spring of 2002, when she and Jerry moved to their beloved northern Michigan Chalet near Alpena. She enjoyed many crafts, sewing, reading, watching the wildlife and being outdoors.

Surviving are sisters-in-law, Patsy Helzerman, Elaine McBride; many nieces, nephews, “adopted” children, and cousins.

Sheryl was preceded in death by a brother Robert Agar.

Visitation will take place at the Bannan Funeral Home on Wednesday from 3 to 5 p.m. with a graveside service at Washtenaw Memorial Park in Ann Arbor on Friday.
