RICHARD ASTLING

Richard Astling (86) passed away peacefully on June 26, 2024, at Medilodge of Ludington. He was born on April 12, 1938, to Charles Astling and Myrtle (Schutt) Astling, in Constantine, Michigan.

Richard graduated from White Pigeon High School in 1956 and began working for Gray Brothers Stamping and Machine Inc. He moved to the Ludington area in 2002 and took on work at Custom Sheet Metal and Heating. He will be remembered for his work ethic, his friendly nature, and his personal faith.

Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Barbara; children, Terry, Robert, Arlene, Joseph; stepson Greg McCallum; grandchildren, Michael, Jamie, Eric, Spencer, Dustin, Alexes, and Sarah.

Richard was preceded in death by his brother Floyd; sister Nancy Eipperle; and son, Thomas.

A memorial service is scheduled for July 8, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Oak Grove Funeral Home in Ludington (viewing begins at 1 p.m.). Arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.
