LAURA MARGARET BEY

Laura Margaret Bey, 98, of Ossineke passed away Thursday, June 13, 2024, at MyMichigan Medical Center Midland.

Laura Margaret Kurkerewicz was born July 7, 1925, in Rogers City, Michigan to the late John and Anna (Markey) Kurkerewicz. On Dec. 14, 1946, she married Louis Bey. He preceded her in death on April 3, 2023. Laura was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church, active in the Ladies Sodality, and lifetime member of VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening.

Surviving are her daughter, Sandra Light; daughter-in-law, Barbara Bey; three grandchildren, Rebecca Bey, Thomas (Kristin) Light II, Christine (Bob) Roulo; two great-grandchildren, Kayla (James) Richmond, Joshua (Delisa) Roulo; and three great-great-grandsons.

Mrs. Bey was preceded in death by her son, Edward Bey and sister, Delores Ross.

Visitation will take place Tuesday at Bannan Funeral Home from 2-6 p.m. with a parish prayer service at 5:30 p.m. Visitation will continue Wednesday at St. Catherine Catholic Church from 10 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Gerald Okoli officiating.
