Joseph F. Lipski, 90, passed away June 19, 2022, and his wife Mildred M. Lipski, 89, passed away June 1, 2024.
Joseph was born in Alpena on July 4, 1931, to the late Frank and Jennie (Stolnski) Lipski and served in the United States Army reaching the rank of Staff Sergeant in the 25th Infantry during the Korean War.
Mildred M. Bruske was born in Alpena on May 8, 1935, to the late Edward and Martha (Miller) Bruske. They married on July 4, 1953.
Surviving are their children, Lisa Miller, Alan (Desiree) Lipski; three grandchildren, Heidi, Emily, Sydnie; four great-grandchildren; Joe's siblings; Gladys Orban, Frank (Judie) Lipski Wilcox; Mildred's siblings; Evelyn (Dave) Black, Carl (Judy) Bruske.
They were preceded in death by Joe's siblings, Mary Olsen, Angie Lark, Lucille Young, Genevieve Crandall, Elaine Rosette; Mildred's siblings, Rhea Beebe, Edward Bruske, Ester Woolf; and Joe's stepfather, Walter Smietana.
Private services have taken place at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Cremation arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.
