Gary Morris Rondeau, 84, of Alpena, passed away Sunday, June 2, 2024, at MyMichigan Medical Center Alpena.
Gary was born July 12, 1939, in Alpena, to the late Morris and Mildred (Lapp) Rondeau. He served in the United States Army. On Oct. 20, 1989, he married Yvonne McLaren. Gary started his work career at Jones Construction and retired from the Alpena Township Water Department in 2005. Gary worked at Bannan Funeral Home for numerous years in his retirement. He was a member of the Exchange Club, Elks Club, and enjoyed playing Euchre at the Yacht Club and with family.
Surviving are his wife, Yvonne; two sons, Duane (Kelli) Rondeau, Ed (Lorri) Rondeau; four stepchildren, Steven (Carmen) McLaren, Missy Sherwood, Patrick (Annette Grzeskowiak) McLaren, Andrew McLaren; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Dave Weber; and sister-in-law, Janie Rondeau.
Gary was preceded in death by his stepson, Christopher McLaren; four siblings, Helen Carls, Dennis Rondeau, Sue Weber, and Donna Rondeau.
Visitation will take place Thursday at Bannan Funeral Home from 2 to 8 p.m. and continue there Friday from 10 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Robert Nystrom officiating.
