Born on Dec. 29, 1973, in Silver Spring, Maryland, to Russell and Lloydann Kanelopoulos, Eric grew into a man of strong character and loving nature.
He was the beloved brother to Aaron (and wife Ellie) Kanelopoulos, James (and wife Annie) Kanelopoulos, Bradley Kaufman, and Kasey (and husband Chris) Masemore. The bond he shared with his siblings was one of his life's greatest treasures.
On Sept. 18, 2021, Eric married the love of his life, Rebecca Ridgeway, and together they brought into the world their adored daughter, Zayla. Eric's role as a father was one he embraced with every ounce of his being, infusing every moment with love, laughter, and the wisdom that only a devoted parent can impart.
Eric found solace and joy in his many interests. His garden was a place of serenity and beauty, lovingly tended to by his hands, and admired by all who had the pleasure of witnessing its bloom. Eric's pugs, his loyal companions, were a constant source of happiness and comfort, often seen by his side as he took leisurely walks outdoors, a pastime that he greatly cherished.
Above all, Eric was a man of faith. His relationship with Jesus was the cornerstone of his life, guiding his actions and his purpose. It was this faith that imbued him with the qualities that those around him admired most: his loving nature, his generosity of spirit, and his unwavering kindness.
