MARGARET MARIE TOLAN

Margaret Marie Tolan, 92, of Ossineke, passed away Saturday, May 4, 2024, at Jamieson Nursing Home in Harrisville.

Margaret Marie Armstrong was born in Redford on April 12, 1932, to the late James and Blanche (Howay) Armstrong and married Russell Tolan on Sept. 22, 1951. Together they engaged in farming. He preceded her in death on Sept. 12, 2007. She was an active member of Ossineke United Methodist Church and enjoyed water painting.

Surviving are her two children, Russell (Janet) Tolan, Ruth (Neal) Zielaskowski; three grandchildren, David (Grechen) Tolan, Dr. Laurie (Chuck) Hein, Amy (Jason) Budnick; five great-grandchildren, Emma Tolan, Colyn Hansen, Liliana Tolan, Gabriella Tolan, Vanessa Tolan; sister-in-law, Evelyn Tolan; several other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Tolan was preceded in death by a sister, Ellen Polk.

Visitation will take place at the Ossineke United Methodist Church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at noon with the Rev. Reeve Segrest officiating. Arrangements are being handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.
