Janet Therese Kramer, 85, of Alpena, passed away on May 26, 2024, at Turning Brook of Alpena.
Janet was born on June 2, 1938, to Harold Mousseau and Edna (Beauchamp) Mousseau Ferguson. She attended school in Arizona as well as Alpena, graduating from Catholic Central High School. Janet married Norman Kramer on Sept. 24, 1962, at Sacred Heart Church in Mt. Pleasant. Together they raised four children.
Janet enjoyed everything outdoors. She especially loved sitting in the sun, going for walks through town, and watching the birds and squirrels. She had a love for animals and took in many cats over the years. Janet also enjoyed playing cards, visiting with friends, and playing bingo any chance she had.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents Harold Mousseau and Edna (Beauchamp) Mousseau Ferguson, husband Norman Kramer, son Mark Werth and sister Mary Kim Ferguson. She is survived by her sisters Gaye (Jim) Lixie, Marlene (Richard) Casselberry-Sutton, Michelle (Jay) Martindale, brother Robert Ferguson, daughter Molly Werth, son Matthew (Sharon) Kramer, son Alan (Donna) Kramer, many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Janet will be deeply missed by her family, friends and the ladies at Turning Brook.
Family will receive friends on Saturday from noon until the time of the memorial service at 3 p.m. at McWilliams Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to Second Chance Animal Shelter.
