JAMES CECIL LaFLEUR

James Cecil LaFleur, 72, of Alpena passed away Friday, May 24, 2024, at Medilodge of Alpena.

James was born in Alpena on March 20, 1952, to the late Loretaus and Esther (Yuker) LaFleur. Jim served in the United States Marines. He married Patricia Bartreau on Nov. 2, 1974. He retired from Ameri-Shred Corp and enjoyed traveling to Alaska, hunting, fishing, family, and friends.

Surviving are his wife, Patricia; two daughters, Sheri (Kevin) Cool; Jennifer (Dale) Saranen; six grandchildren, Deven Saranen, Audrey Saranen, Cole (Katelyne) Werth, Alexis (Hunter) Maul, Aidan Cool, Kevin Cool, Jr.; three great-grandchildren, Jaxon Maul, Owen Werth, Vivian Werth; two siblings, Ida Falk, Lester (Kathy) Manning; several nieces and nephews.

Mr. LaFleur was preceded in death by four siblings, Robert LaFleur, Beverly Hillman, Dawn Richards, and Barbara Mallette.

Memorial visitation will take place Friday at Bannan Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until the memorial service at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Joshua Schultz officiating followed by military honors accorded him by Alpena V.F.W. Post 2496.

Inurnment: Pilgrims Rest Cemetery

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church or Compassus Hospice.
