DOREEN LYNN BRITTON

Doreen Lynn Britton, 60, of Alpena passed away Friday, May 17, 2024, at her camp.

Doreen Lynn Wikaryasz was born Aug. 14, 1963, in Alpena to the late Robert and MaryAnn (Wisiewski) Wikaryasz. On Aug. 26, 2017, she married Todd Britton. Doreen worked at Alpena Power Co. 40-plus years. She was a member of All Saints Parish and had served as chairperson of the Alpena County Republican Party. Doreen enjoyed time with family and friends, the outdoors, and snowmobiling.

Surviving are her husband, Todd; two children, David Hamilton, Paige Hamilton; three siblings, Darlene (Mike) O’Neil, DeLynn (Dave Buza) Wikaryasz, Darby (Eugene Hornyak) Wikaryasz; sister-in-law, Karen Wikaryasz; and many nieces and nephews.

Doreen was preceded in death by four siblings, Delphine Lewis, Marvin Wikaryasz, Adrian Wikaryasz, and Darwin Wikaryasz.

Visitation will take place Monday at Bannan Funeral Home from 2-8 p.m. with a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue Tuesday at St. Anne Church of All Saints Parish from 10 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Tyler Bischoff officiating.
